You All Seem So Far Away

Wow you all seem so far away! I am so thankful for your loving and consistent emails.

We meet the new mission president this week. I am very excited.

Elder Bown (my trainer) was the first of the El Faro missionaries transferred to the new two zones, and he said he doesn't think we are ready for this. It sounds like their rules are pretty loosy goosy... at least in comparison. He was placed there as Zone leader to help ease the change a bit. I don't know. Jaja it will be a learning humbling experience for everyone:)

It is literally boiling here. Ive never sweated so much:) jaja its a little ridiculous! Jaja.

Wow, yeah my companion is a tech wizard. He worked on Campus at BYU fixing computers, its just been super great having Jarvis at my side all the time. We get along way too well. Hes technically older than I am, but younger in the mission. So its kinda been hilarious, you have myself the speed demon, works at 3000 miles per hour, Spanish speaking crazy Elder, and the very intelligent, tranquilo, mature, Elder Layton. He gives great hugs, and is great at listening. I am the luckiest Elder alive.

This last week we saw the most amazing miracle of T, a wonderful friend of ours, finally accepting a fecha bautismal! Goodness! It has been a long battle for her salvation, but she will be baptized this 14 of July. She will be a great addition to the ward here and is now great friends with C a recent convert.

Our friend J has shown amazing progress as well, and we are working with him to be baptized the 14 of this July.

Myself I have been working to improve my focus on baptism. I am so excited to see our district see so many baptisms this transfer. It truly is the only way our friends can gain full access to the atonement. I want my whole life motivated by that fact. I am also trying to improve my understanding of the Atonement, of course that will be a life long pursuit, but I am trying all the same

I love you all. I know that when we truly understand our baptismal covenant it will change all we do.

Elder Gardner
