Seek Them Out

Hello, family and friends!

Its a great big world, and we're nothing but dust! Wooo! The Lord has been opening my understanding to the puny nature of man. I have been speaking with a ton a ton of people, and every day I am surprised with what I learn. We are all so alike. We are worried that we aren't enough, we are tired, and nervous that the things we do won't bring the needs we have. We want people to see and hear us. We want to feel we are important. And the beautiful thing is that all of us, all of us, our needs can be met by coming closer to God. Through our conversion to Him.

I have just a few quick stories to tell.

We met a man named P. Miracle. We had a nice and open schedule filled with a day of finding waiting for us. We sat nice and quiet for a moment before we left, we were tired, but we decided, we are going to pray, pray hard to find one miracle, a child of God who is going to accept the gospel of Jesus Christ. We left to the street. And low and behold, the Lord provided. We met P, he was just arriving here from Venezuela, we sat right there and drank something with him a cafe. We have taught him, and he has immense potential.

P our friend who will be baptized this weekend came to an activity, and asked that we announce her baptism. She was so full of joy there in front of everyone as we announced her baptismal day. I just thought about the day we met her in the street, and all the immense progress the Lord has helped her have these past few weeks. It is incredible.

Also, you would never ever ever guess who I saw this week. Caleb Scoville. Yes sirreee my cross country coach. What a fabulous opportunity to testify to and talk to a dear dear friend. I know for a fact there are no coincidences. And that was just a great tender mercy for me and him. We spoke in front of the Sagrada Familia, and took a few jumping pictures together. Boom!

And you know what? These are great little miracles for me. As I write them I can feel the familiar burn of the Holy Ghost testifying to me of the Love the Lord has for me and His children. But I know that these words will never give them justice, they are my miracles. My stories. And that's just never as good as having your own.

So that's my invitation!

Go find your own miracles. Get on your knees, pray fervently for missionary opportunities. As God to put a specific number of people in your way that will need your help, your ministering abilities.

And then seek them out.

Matt 9:

35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

36 ¶ But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;

38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

There truly are so so so many people, helpless, and needy. Sheep with no shepherd.

I love this work. It truly fills my soul with purpose and compassion.

I love you, work hard, pray harder.
