Object Lesson gone Wrong

Please take a moment to think this week:

How is my life different, the plan I have for my life different, because I know that God lives?

How should my life be different?

What a blessing this last week has been!

I started with Elder Gomez on an intercambio. We spent some time in the street which is always great. We also spoke with a young man from Peru. It was one of those lessons where I felt as though I walked out more edified and learned than the friend we were teaching. We shared a video that I felt was speaking to me, even though I had seen it probably 3 million times, it's words spoke to me with more power than ever before. It's "He lives" the Easter video if you want to "gospel library it." Haha but it simply testified the fact that, all I do has to do with Him. Jesus Christ. That if I looked for Him, even just attempted to find Him, it would be possible. It's a great video, and the Spirit touched me. Woot!

We also had the crazy amazing opportunity to go to a Barcelona Game. Madrid against Barcelona. Waaaaaaa! It was great. The crowd was incredibly loud. I loved it, but as always I was filled with the thoughts, how many people here know, actually know why they are here. How many people have prayed. So so so many people. I can't comprehend it. All of them need the gospel.

I had as well another intercambio with Elder Rathkye in Terrassa. We had a very very good heart to heart conversation in which I was able to testify of the blessings God has brought to me through my mission and my efforts to serve Him.

Elder Lozano and I later I also gave a blessing to a very very sick member. So sick that we were forced to "Scrub up" before entering. We shared some good 10-20 minutos with this small sick little women and left her with a blessing with our latex gloves. A truly unforgettable experience.

Funny story for those who've stuck in there haha. We gave a lesson on faith to a couple friends who are coming back to Church, and as part of an object lesson, we used a little infusion packet. Supposedly you can empty the packet and put it in the palm of you hand burn it, just as it is about to touch your hand the hot air rising is supposed to carry away the little packet. Test of faith... get it?

Well we share the message, start the little fire, here comes the big moment... and the little tea bag just sits there in the hands of our friend and Elder Gardner.... and we burned ourselves. The bag just smoldered there and stuck to my hand burning. I still have the mark. On my hand. It hurts. Haha complete fail. It was ok though because the daughter couldn't stop laughing. I guess we used the wrong type of Tea Bag. Or we didn't have enough faith... Haha.

Anyways I hope that you understand my slowly degrading English speaking ability, and have the chance to gospel library that video.

Thank you!

Elder Gardner
