Faith and Finding

Week of faith and finding. I have had so much fun. Ive really come to the conclusion of two things. My favorites in the mission are: - Teaching Less actives. - Contacting. First, less actives that have real intentions and are frustrated with God or have chosen to be offended my heart goes out to them. I love it because there is no set doctrine or written lesson plan, just pure love, the word, and your testimony. Elder Lozano has been incredible in this aspect. He doesn't just teach, he calls, he sends texts, and makes a true sincere effort to minister. While they may not be getting in white or in the font, there's got to be a major hype sesh in the heavens when a lost little sheep makes it back to the flock. Two quick miracles: Recently we have started to say in our prayer every time we leave to find, a goal, with our Father in Heaven. Its incredible, I love it, and it really motivates me to work. I was in an exchange with Elder May, and we said our prayer, "Heavenly Father, help us find two of your chosen this morning." We were in that last half hour stretch of our morning pursuit, and we still hadnt found them. We were hustling to some passbys and talking along the way. And low and behold a man runs across the street, "Elderes!" He was a long lost less active recently had moved and now wishing to come back. We set a visit, and headed out in an all out sprint to the passby, a less active family, Gods family found. Woot woot they answered, and God lead us to his chosen. Sunday we were on the metro, and if someone had to give me a missionary superhero name it would be "Metro Macho..." or "Metro Man..." I just love to meet people on those quick trips. I contacted this man with some pretty neat boots, and he although he was a little drunk began to tell me his situation. He spoke English, he was just recently robbed, he was from Canada, and he was a member... what? He hadn't taken the sacrament for over 7 years. We continued to talk and I mentioned I was going at this very time to church. He then asked quietly, "Can I come?" I then spent sacrament meeting next a man a little tipsy and very low of heart. When the first hymn began, he choked up. And I know that the Lord was calling him home. "Venid a mi..." Amazing week that I will never forget. I love you all. Elder Gardner
