Make a New Friend

Yes we all loved conference.

We just lost our minds out here in Spain. I just love love love the church. Its truly lead by Christ. I honestly can not wait to be able to just devour the doctrines revealed. Oh my goodness.

We had a really touching experience.

We received a call to give a blessing at a nearby hospital, upon arriving we weren't sure what to expect. We finally found the room, (goodness hospitals are the closest thing Spain has got to a corn maze.) and we met the family and their new 6 month year old daughter. She had been having seizures and they were worried they were going to lose her. Here was this family, I had never seen them in church before, yet here we were, giving a blessing, in their honest hope, and faith in the priesthood for their child. Elder Calderon, although shaking, gave one of his first blessings, and we then left. The spirit was tangible.

We left the hospital, and I just didn't have words for a very long time.

Death, its just so close.

I just wish all could hear the knowledge we know and cherish.

Miracle! Elder Calderon and myself were doing our studying about finding, and we both I know felt the spirit very strongly. We felt determined to find a family. We stopped everyone, rechazo rechazo rechazo. We had read and what had impacted me the most from our study was the statement: The spirit is just as important in finding as in teaching. We finally came across a man, we both felt the spirit, but he quickly walked past us. Elder Calderon and I, looked at one another, and we turned to try and catch him down the street. Wahoo we came to him, and first he expressed that he wasn't interested, but as we asked why, and he explained his understanding of the apostasy and that the churches just now don't go according to the teaching of Jesus. We quietly listened then related that our beliefs were the same, and that we have amazing news for him. He agreed to meet with us, and we are beyond excited to explain the Restoration him.
