Hands down. this has been the most extreme change of my mission life. I'm
not sure what has been bigger, coming out of the MTC or arriving here in Murcia. I jajaja I absolutely in love with all the missionaries ya, they are great, but wow Barcelona runs a tight ship. I am very intrigued to find out what rules they will be maintaining with the new mission president.
Elder Jonothan Lucas from Layton UT. Biggest tender mercy in all of this has been my companion. We are literally the same, except for the part where he is a convert and will soon have more time as a missionary than member. He is absolutely inspiring. I know that he and I were meant to be here together, because were just both so great. He is extremely loving and sincere in his testimony. I love him. I have already learned so much from my time with him, and I am very excited to learn more. This next transfer will be the best transfer of my mission, I can already tell. I am so excited.
He runs, and runs very fast. For all you cross country folk, he ran for Great Oak in California. So this barrigon I've been working on is going to have to go! Jaja.
He is in the same group as Elder Layton so this will be his 5th transfer. He speaks amazing Spanish though already so we are just murdering it. Baptism.
Murcia has a very unique feel to it. It has this massive river running down the middle of it all, and palm trees, river grass galore. Really neat ancient bridges. Its got this swampy Louisiana ambiance, with old Spanish cathedrals poking out from the skyline all over. A lot more Muslims which is always fun:) the members here are fantastic. The Spanish is also significantly different than that of the north. I love it. I think some of them have just given up on consonants all together and communicate with vowels. It's quite impressive:) jajaja
And you wouldn't believe it, but Elder Bown is my Zone Leader! Jaja my trainer, and best-est of friends, we will be working together once more. I love him.
I can feel the Lord strengthening me. I have never really felt so much motivation, dedication towards any cause. I am fighting for the families here. I am fighting for their baptisms. I love you all. I hope, I pray that all those who read this are keeping their covenants, because that is truly what matters. I love you all!!!
