Fun stuff this week!
So we're contacting (surprise) and we meet this women from Nigeria, and we begin to speak to her about her family and she actually accepts to listen to us right there give a message in the park. Wahoo great fun! Talking and teaching more in depth we come to find out that shes been really looking for God recently in these long prayers because its been very difficult in church because she doesn't speak Spanish, she wanted to know what God wanted her to do. BOOM Baptism, we show up, and begin to explain to her about the gospel with the Book of Mormon. Wow and she showed so much interest in the book of Mormon! We were able to give her the book of Mormon in English,( new flash, we never have books of Mormon with us in English... never) and she accepted a baptismal date.
Ok now rewind a week and a half and we're contacting (surprise) and we are about to cross paths with a very loud, angry and drunk group of Africans, not my first choice in groups to contact. I didn't really think that they would have much interest, and I was slightly intimidated. But, we approached them, and actually managed to set up a second visit.
We leave piso with a book of Mormon in English for this drunk fellow, and all to confirm and S a very not English speaking female answered. Wrong number wrong everything.
That day we meet S, and were able to present to her a book of Mormon en Ingles!
We wouldn't have been there with that book to answer S prayer if God hadn't put those men in our path weeks ago.
So moral of the story: if life throws hypothetical angry scary drunk men into your life, and the spirit prompts you to do said scary thing, follow said prompting, and blessings for you and others will follow:)

our dear french speaking friend was baptized as well this last week! Its been such a tender mercy to watch his sensitive and precious soul flourish with the words of Christ.
He has made immense progress, and the Lord through His holy ordinances has healed him. I love this wonderful gospel. I believe in Baptism, I believe in Christ.
