Get Use to the Cold

Hola Familia!

Phew my Spanish is just amazing isn't it? Well this last week consisted of my head trying to out run the buses we were trying to catch. Ahhh! Attempting to schedule and plan everything with public transportation without the help of the world wide web has served for a hilarious, and sometimes physical challenge. Good thing were good at running. Ha,ha goodness leading the area, even if it be just until My amazing companion Elder Farmer can get his bearings, has been super fun. It makes me feel almost like a real missionary. Haha

Poor Elder Farmer comes from the far too warm coastal side of our mission. Cataluña. He also is originally from Dallas Texas, which makes for one very frigid Elder. I am thankful for cold Utah winter's now:)

Good ol' Burgos, I love it here. They have a phrase here: "Burgos nunca te dejará frío."

Roughly meaning, you'll never leave Burgos feeling cold. The people here, although 98% of them want nothing to do with our church, will all stop to talk and carry on cheerful small talk. They have the most beautiful pride in their Country and Cold. They don't want to hear about God, but they will stop everything to find paper and pen to share you traditional Spanish meal recipes. I love my Burgos.

Also complete miracle: I might have already shared about how Elder Bown and I were "lost" searching for a house, and ran into Samuel. I almost walked by without saying anything to him, but I quite literally felt the spirit then me back to him and call out to him. He turned back and proceed to ask us in English all sorts of questions about how can we know which of the Churches is true. We've taught him and set a baptismal date.

What's more, he has attended church this weekend. I sat praying next to him in our perfectly imperfect statement meeting praying that he would somehow feel Gods love here.

When we went to the next class he just happened to be good friends with a recent convert.

Seeing miracles in Burgos. I am so so blessed to be a part of it.
