Fun fact for all of you: The Church Is True!

Oh my goodness what a week full of spiritually igniting power!!!

Alright, the answer is yes! I am staying in Burgos! Elder Bown left to Hospitalet to handle the Zone there as Zone Leader. I am very grateful for all he has taught me. It was hard to see him go, and very strange to sit alone in the station for so long. I was waiting my new companion... Elder Farmer! ha,ha Yes Elder Gardner and Farmer, in a field white and ready to Harvest. Very excited to get to know him and work by his side.

I first had the opportunity to go on a exchange with my now recently "deceased grandfather" (the trainer of my trainer who now is home) Elder Bromly a zone leader from Vitoria. His diligence truly inspired me. His confidence in his contacting showed his confidence in his testimony, and the gospel. I want to contact everyday like it is my last.

I also saw my very first "Dia de los reyes" (day of the kings) which was absolutely massive. It so much bigger than Christmas here in Spain. Christmas is more of just another excuse to purchase more clothing and maybe eat more food. Day of the kings is to celebrate the three wise men which arrived to bring there gifts to the baby Jesus. Which in someways makes more sense than an old cookie consuming saint with absolutely no bible references... ha,ha but don't worry, Christ has been taken out of Christmas here as well. The streets were filled with people waiting for the 3 "kings" to parade through on massive floats, and their "helpers" which featured Pirates of the Caribbean, and other various modern movie characters. Ha,ha yes, It was amazing, and made it a little difficult to contact... ha,ha I love the culture here. It is so rich and the history is amazing.

With the ending of my first companionship, and being left to guide the area for a bit, I did some serious thinking. I, clearly, and very nervous, to be without my trainer/breaker, in an area with so much potential. I can not teach how I'd like, I can't speak how I'd like, I am far from the super power missionaries we dream about. I know that I am inadequate. I don't trust myself, but I trust my God. I know, that as I try desperately to do everything that He asks, He will make insufficiencies sufficient. He will make it enough.

I will cling too the hope that maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but poco a poco as they say, I will someday wake up a better man.

All my love.

Elder Gardner
