Feliz Navidad!

Wowzers! What an amazing week. I cannot believe I am so so blessed.

First my companion had his 20th Birthday on the 23rd which was spent singing at rest homes with our very spirited Christmas choir. I loved it. I had the opportunity to play my violin of course. It was fun to do some cheesy cliche service.

We spent most of the 24th out on the streets. We had a visit fire and so we were left to just walk the mostly empty streets of Burgos, wishing happy Christmas to those who waved at us:) ha,ha wonderful.

That night though was truly amazing. We had managed to pull together a couple of very, very missionary gifts and doorbell ditch them at the door of a less fortunate family's home. Ha,ha they most definitely know its us though. Who else gifts a preach my gospel and ties, wrapped in old Ensign papers:) ha,ha It was a special moment though for sure, a Christmas that I will remember forever.

We woke to so, so many gifts and letters. I do believe we are the most blessed Elders in the world.

In all honesty this last week housed some of the most precious moments in my life. I Skyped home, and for the first time in almost 6 months saw my family. I felt love. I felt true pure peace, and family love. It gave me a beautiful reminder of why I am here. The true meaning of Christmas. Why we celebrate. We celebrate family. We celebrate the hope that Jesus Christ has given to all mankind, to see family after death. To have the feelings of charity love and support last forever.

I also witnessed the empowering character of Christ in the members as they persevere through challenges maybe made especially difficult during the Christmas service. Their ability to turn outward, and strive to solve the problems of others rather than feeling swamped by their own astounded me. This is truly the way to happiness. I can testify of this.

I love you all my friends and especially family. I am thankful for a Savior who made this all possible, and is quick to save. I invite you always to learn of His character, put it into practice, and see the miracles that will ensue. I love you all always and a Feliz Navidad:)
