The Call To Serve!

My call arrived in the mail! The excitement and nervousness was almost too much to handle. As soon as I found out it had arrived, I felt my stomach drop. I quickly ran, texted and called as quickly as I could to let everyone know the good news: "You don't have to see me for a whole 2 years!!!" Before I knew it a small mob had entered my home. I could not wait to find out where I would be serving my Lord for the next two years. This truly was a monumental moment for me. I shook so badly as I opened the envelope. I couldn't help but recognize the spirit. I know that I was going to where Heavenly Father would have me go. Spain Barcelona people, reporting to the Madrid MTC on July 25th. I cannot wait to go and work as hard as I can.

My desire to serve as a missionary has come truly from the peace and hope I have felt through living this gospel, and the many times I have felt of Heavenly Father's love for me. I have felt to sing the song of redeeming love (Alma 5:26) and have felt also of God's love for the people around me. I want to fill my life with the joy that comes from loving and serving. For in the end, we have nothing to hold on to save the hope of Jesus Christ, and the love that we've received and given. I know this gospel to be God's work on earth, to provide a way for his children, you and I, to improve ourselves and grow forever. We can and will find joy.
